Weekend in Provo

Ken and I just returned from a weekend in Provo. We went to Parents Weekend with Alex. Melanie, Nick and boys drove in and had family pictures taken in the canyon. (I got to see a quick sneak peak of them - and they turned out really cute. Nick should be posting some soon). Picture of Aaryn is his Halloween Costume Aunt Selina and Grandma made for him. Chelsea and Zac came down friday night as well. We went bowling, out to eat a few times, and attended the BYU - UNLV game - which we won!! - on Saturday. Looks like we were the only ones that high in the stadium, but not so it was a sold out crowd, not everyone likes to be as early as Ken. Sunday we spent with Alex and his roommates. He has a great group of roommates - I wish I had taken a picture at dinner. Just by chance he was paired up with 4 other Arizonians? in his apartment - the 6th person has moved around alot so he's adopted in to "The Arizona Boys" apartment as one girl told me they call it. By the way in Relief Society when I announced I was Alex's mom, several (I mean several) "Awwww's" were heard. Alex said I should have gotten names. I had planned on taking pictures, but as usual I only got a few. We had a great time reliving the old days at BYU and noticing how everything has changed and how we don't really belong anymore, but oh well we love it anyway.

Zac and Chelsea

Well, I guess this is just an update on us from what mom wrote. Zac and I are doing well, and enjoying the married life. I think we often wish that we could have some time off from school so that we could spend more time together, but hopefully that time will come soon enough. I am almost done with Nursing school, at least my Associate degree, and will be an RN in January, hopefully. School is stressful, and clinicals are a nightmare, but it is great to know that I am really accomplishing something with my education. Zac is in his last year of Accounting school and sadly, just about as stressed as I am with school, so needless to say we keep busy. He recently got a job helping this Entrepreneur in the community who owns a bunch of businesses and is an accountant himself. But he is getting old and going blind so Zac spends his Tuedays and Thursdays helping run the books and things for the various companies. He probably doesn't make as much as he would like but it is a great experience for him. He will do his internship this winter in Idaho Falls and then will graduate by next December. Who knows where we are going after that. He has started to look into a few schools but we are not sure yet where he will do his MBA or CPA whichever he decides. We are enjoying our time together, and are excited for what life brings ahead. We send our love to you all.

Here are a few picture from our Honeymoon. We went on a cruise to Cabo san Lucas Mexico, it was tons of fun just to be together, I didn't enjoy the sea sickness too much, but Zac loved the ocean and everything about it.

Reception

Chelsea's Wedding

Well its been a month since Chelsea's wedding and I thought it was time i updated our blog. I have been very busy the last few months getting ready for the wedding, and then I was involved with some time consuming Relief Society activities - Super Saturday type thing. I have also been working at school. We have a break for two weeks; so we are trying to get thing caught up.

Chelsea and Zac's wedding was wonderful. The first day seemed like the perfect wedding. No problems everyone where they were suppose to be on time and so forth. No problems at the temple - everything was smooth as smooth can be. She looked beautiful and radiant. We all made it to the reception in Idaho without any problems. It was a quiet, but very nice reception. We left early the next day to head to Ely for the 2nd reception. (I was wondering how I was going to make it look decent in a few hours and detract from the elk heads on the wall at the Elks Lodge - all the churches were booked) We received a call from Chelsea earlier than expected saying they were on their way to Ely and she was pretty sick. She threw up all the way down and felt she needed to go to the emergency room. Ken left to meet her and Zac and we continued on with our preparations, wondering if we should cancel or what? The emergency room took a long time and she came out with nothing. They said she had a virus and there was nothing they could do for her.

The reception went forward. Chelsea did the best she could and was a real trooper. It was a great reception and everyone enjoyed it. (It's too bad the bride and groom couldn't enjoy it a little more.)

Chelsea and Zac stayed in Ely a few days to recooperate and then headed to California to go on their honeymoon cruise. She was still a little under the weather, but doing better. Some of us got a little sick after the wedding, but nothing like Chelsea.

All is well now the newlyweds are in school and doing well.

Here's a few of our favorite pictures.

Enjoy!
